Phoebe's First Boyfriend!

Thursday, April 24, 2008

Phoebe's friend Cooper came over today for play group with the older kids.  Although they were not super interested in one another when they were first born now that they are 6 months old they are starting to enjoy each other's company a lot more.  In the picture right before this one Cooper was sucking on Phoebe's thumb (too cute!) but I did not make it with the camera on time. I know, I know, what kind of mom am I?  Hopefully next time I can catch the budding romance on film =)

Swinging in the Sunshine

Tuesday, April 22, 2008

It was FINALLY nice enough for us to go to the park yesterday so we met some of our friends there for lunch.  The girls had a blast. It was Phoebe's first time in the swing and she loved it. She even kicked her legs and was able to get herself going a bit. Audra decided to be a "good big sister" and push Phoebe but when Phoebe came back down and accidently kicked her in the head Audra said "Mommy you do all the pushing, cause that is what mommies do".

Sisters!

Saturday, April 12, 2008

Phoebe is completely in love with her big sister and always has a HUGE smile whenever she sees her.  Audra is such a great big sister!  She loves to help out in any way she can including getting Phoebe a nuk whenever she is upset because apparently nuks make everything better.

A tale of two toes!

Friday, April 11, 2008

Phoebe, being like most women, uses her feet as a temperature gauge.  However, since she can't get her whole foot out of her PJs we often find one toe peaking out!

About a month ago Audra's friend Noah accidentally knocked over our bench on her foot.  Needless to say it was a traumatic event for her.  She ended up loosing her toenail but her foot seems to be healing nicely.  However, she still repeats the story for anyone to who listen. Apparently she has inherited my talent for telling the same story multiple times to the same people.

SUPER FANS

Finally the world's smallest (and cutest) KU fans have something to celebrate!  Audra woke up on Tuesday morning and asked, "did KU winned?"  After hearing that they in fact had won she asked her signature question "why?" We told her it was because KU is Awesome!  The rest of the day she refused to wear a sweatshirt because it covered her Jayhawk. Let's just hope it does not take them another 20 years to win a national championship again.

A is for Audra, P is for Phoebe

I have been meaning to take "formal" pictures of the girls for some time.    (I am a little late for their 3 year and 6 month pictures.)  Although they were a little reluctant to participate I was pleased with what I was able to get and the results represent their personalities more than "posed" pictures would.  FYI - Audra only pretends to be shy!

My two front (bottom) teeth

So Phoebe FINALLY has her two front teeth and I was able to snap a picture of them yesterday. She is a much happier girl now but still enjoys chewing on everything from foam letters to her sister's hand.
